Beautiful.
It reminds me of and simple collages that have a sense of warmth cut and paste into them countered by the topsie tury menagerie of color and light and impact in a kaleidoscope.
The song also bounces around quite nicely, and reminds me a bit of some of the stead jubliation of edward shap's Home (linked for refrence)

I am unfamiliar with your oc's and their persona's but this was a consummate introduction to some interesting strangers.
Thank you for making this.

thanks for th ekind comment, it means a lot

I would argue this violates the spirit of the sport, but I honestly realized that anything that makes me respond with "I feel like this violates the spirit of (X)" is with out a doubt the spirit of skating, so well played.
Thank you for making this

I feel like this is the Ying to this yang;

I am not sure if my life has been improved or damned by the realization that those allegoric crunching listicles could bring a primal joy, but I do now, that is my life now.
Thank you for making this,

Hmmm, cool!
The motion here actually reminds me of watching someone walk through a pool, as it has weight of buoyant but restrained motion, which for this character is very haunting and works well especially with the ripple of the shirt's hem.
I would suggest if you wanted to how more effort or weight being transitioned in the step maybe try to show more activation, or effort in the muscles in the back of the leg.
But honestly I really like this kind of phased out trot you created here, and the Will-o'-the-wisp revealing the hidden arcane aurora is very cools and clever.
Thank you for making this.

polkoii responds:

Thank you! I'll definitely look into improving the activation or more muscle anatomy! I'm glad you liked the bg! I had fun making it!

So, nice work!
You definitely hit the threshold of idle talking animation that looks fairly natural.
I might suggest checking out this awesome channel about lip reading, as it may be helpful.

I also really like you color pallet choice, it's all so nice and light.
Thank you for making this.

polkoii responds:

Ooo! Will be checking that out! I like the colors too :D

What a power move.
I almost feel shadow maintain eye contact the entire time would just push this to a pro level of harassment, but from what I understand of their character operational indifference basically fits them.
Impressive use of back ground music to push the strength of minimal visuals, it really conveyed the escalation of consternation so well I can't stop smiling.
Thank you for making this.

Nekidcoboy responds:

Yea, I wasn't planned to use music and was actually about to drop the project but then I accidentally fount the Setuniman's track and well... planets aligned. It overlaps just perfectly.

Hey! Good work.
I would say the strongest part of this piece was your sound design work.
The spaceship sounded like a spaceship, the error was far from erroneous, and the consternation of looming doom was perfect.
The low effort recorder music at the end really sealed in the chuckle from at the end.
I think with the sound work being as strong as it is, maybe look into animation techniques that require less effort if carried by music or sound effect.
So like flashing light effects, atmospheric and dark scenes, and possibly play with rotoscope like strobe effects.
really looking to more from you, and thank you for making this.

MattieHines responds:

wow thank you for taking your time to watch, and critique. your words are appreciated and ill keep them in mind

If ever I need an example to demonstrate a practical definition of show, don't tell, I know where to come back to.
I like how you used certain principals while constructing this narrative that restrained and I believe focused it.
The lack of speech avoids the need for VA and lip-synch but but it's childish and reminiscent nature you overcame this quite well, making that lack an actual great depth to the piece.
Usually, I only give 5 stars if I think I will recall, or more simply have gained something permanent from it, and, in my first sentence, I was being quite honest about believing I will come back to this.
Thank you for making this.

Incredibly subtle, and intimate for the scale and time it represents.
Sol's emotions, and processing of their surroundings and their actions, are incredibly dear.
Your minimalist sound design worked well with the still majesty of space, and I found the "crib's mobile" like aspect of the planets around the young sol quite novel.
If ever you where to expand this concepts, there is a possibly interesting narrative thread about the formation of the asteroid belt being a mistake of anger or confusion.
Thank you for making.

asemsera responds:

Thank you for your thoughtful review, your feedback is very helpful, and the asteroid belt idea is very interesting!

Hmmm some "A Team" vibes.
But perhaps as the are the "good guys" it is more of a "G Team."
Over all, pretty solid, and the character designs where very distinct from each other.
I am not a big fan of the Team mom style of nagging trope, but I get that it is part of this genre's formula.
I guess I just challenge you to push past those guidelines.
Thank you for making this.
