I like this alot.
I have a small criticism for the sound design which is you put alot of detail into showing the force of the Bullet Bill but the catching noise was pretty soft, which does show mario's stength, but also makes it seem too easy/less impressive.
What I might suggest, to have as little change in terms of animation as possible, is at 5 second mark when Mario catches Bill by the nose during the cut to black/whiteimpact, is use a rubble or rock shattering sound, and then have mario be unscathed, but all the force was transferred onto the brick that her is standing on leaving him in an impact crater holding bill.
It helps play on the expectations, and demonstrate mario's stength in a way I think would be more impactful to an audience.
Other wise I really like the way you drew bill and mario, especially with Bill's frustration at having been caught, and the cannon really showed great motion.
Thank you for making this.

Helmtaker: The Pirate Queen's Skeleton Crew
Devastatingly stylish, and masterful use of contrast.
And I don't just mean the tawny yellow with the electric blue, which is on point, but all so fluid motion/flaring smoke again the pulse of hard edges and set choreography of skulls and clouds, but most impressive to me is the contrast of modern design sensibilities (clothes and character design) with blue code era motifs (dancing skeleton, painted clouds, film frame on the screen.)
It is quite a delightful cacophony.
Thank you for making this.

Wow.
Incredible work on this piece.
It reminds me in some way of Persepolis or the Snowman (briggs) in how you put such loving detail into every moment.
Also you work on the sound design, was very choice, and reminded me a bit of Ghibli film or Pan's labarinth, the slightly mystical nature and female lead help with that impression as well.
Overall the story you told about coming of age, one's body, and violence was done is a way that was clear, but still new to me, and the use of the smoke and deerskin as aura's and abstractions, was quite beautiful.
Also, as a note, welcome to Newground.
Thank you for making this.

Thank you so so much for the kind words! Del Toro and the way he used magic realism in Pan's Labyrinth and The Devils Backbone were both big inspirations in terms of storytelling for me so I'm glad you got that impression.
Also, glad to be on Newgrounds! The last time I was on here I played games as a kid but I didn't know it had an art community. As much as Instagram is a helpful platform it's kinda toxic and I want to make my work more widespread and accessible in art communities outside of the 'fancy corporate' areas.

heh.
I have really appreciated y'all's work over the years, so thank you for continuing to make me smile.
Thank you for making this.

glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting.
I remember watching the first few seasons of MLP, as I was a fan of Faust from Foster's and PPG, and yeah Celestia's method's where basically as narratively excusable as they where inexcusable.
I also think it's an interesting take to discuss consent within Celestia and Twilight's relationship, and kind of reminds me of an old Pokemon episode, where ash's Bulbasaur decided not to evolve, and ash's struggle about whether or not to use a lighting stone on Pikachu to defeat LT. Surge's Riachu.
While I think this debate was a little heavy handed I respect and overall agree that with in the narrative a lot of choice made sense because of inherent trust.
Also, nice animation overall, super competent for a fan project!
Thank you for making this.

Yeah, you should totally be proud of this!
Y'know people talk a lot about show don't tell in story telling, and I feel like you built a nice bridge between that and characterization, because, yeah clay, narrated to themself in a very narration like way, but it was also solid characterization as it showed their thought process and humor.
I also appreciate the economy you make with you animation, like you avoid animating moving mouths by having conversations across rooms or behind masks and mustaches, and I think it works out in the lighter tone of the piece.
But back to show don't tell, you did great with the little details building up the world, like photo's in clay's hall, clay looking at the homeless person on the sidewalk, all the package designs and the picture of the gas station guy with his kids, especially when Clay's own dad was torn out of a photo?; all small but well placed.
Finally I like the weight of all the movement, while still cartoonish, each push and pull seems to have consistent internal logic and works.
One very small thing I noticed that broke the illusion for me is you had a really nice establishing shot in one of the bubble mirrors, and you reused it on a mirror over the drink machines, which would normally be ok, but in the scene where clay is lifted by the throat it's pretty close to the center of the shot, so it's more noticeable, and i think you could have made the image fuzzier it would have worked with minimal effort.
Thank you for making this

This makes me irrationally pleased.
It is the perfect mix of nonsense, satire, and fairly legitimate commentary on how weird zemo s role was narratively.
And there where some truly lovely little details like starlord getting down and dirty in the club.
It kinda reminds me of this series of photos a mad lad took of himself third wheeling on dates between his friend and gf all the way from first date to walking down the isle.
Just a good vibe of grade A nonsense.
Thank you for making this.

"The things I do for love." - courage the cowardly dog.
I really appreciate you going to effort to give a nice contextual framing it the description, it was a nice cherry on top of a very sweet animation.
Great use of the awkward colored of the middle of the night, you set a a really nice muted pallet for this.
I think you also did well in showing the struggles of boundaries with pets, but how rewarding it can be.
Thank you for making this.
