Great work.
I love the high contrast, and the choice of sickly radioactive green, and the pooling blood red.
It should not, but I can't help imagining the train playing this song;
https://youtu.be/lsfhADiaP5E
but yeah, great work, and I wanted to ask what inspired it?
In any case,
Thank you for making this.

kaiakairos responds:

nothing really inspired this one directly, although while making it I was thinkin about that scene at the end of half life 2 when the gman walks through that white door.
As for my psychedelia type art in general, I find a lot of my inspiration from my own experience (if u catch my drift) and from music like Tool, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin. There's quite a lot more but those are some of the more well-known examples I can give.

Oooooh, resplendent.
The poise of the figure is amazing, pose is an odd combination of the relaxation on sees in a person in total control, but within a rigidity like marble around them.
The pallet's play of white, peach, blue and gold id inserting, because it is a pallet that is often used to convey warmth, care and tenderness, and the piece abandons that in the tone of the model, and the ferocity of architecture they place themself on.
All that to say, I think you did really well here.
Thank you for making this.

Thank you very much for such an in-depth comment!! Greatly appreciated <3

This is quite lovely.
I like how it's a really nice mix of art nouveau, 90s school supplies, and simple icons like that of a sailor's tattoos.
Also the lovey pallet dominated by blues and it's hues helps carry the sense of water, and the sea, as a theme.
Thank you for making this.

And thank YOU for replying :)

Dreamy.
I like what you have done here, has a touch of iconography, and the hair has an almost dark halo of illumination.
The hands are quite neat, as well as the detail of the collar bone and sternum.
thank you for making this.

TEETHFLAVOURED responds:

this is a very beautiful compliment, i'm gonna think about this for a while. thank you so much! I'm glad you like it, it means alot <:)

"ruin it?" I don't know about that.
It's an ambitious piece, especially how you where play with a humanoid form in a floating position that is probably only possible because they are inhuman.
I like this angular angel and the choice to layer the legs, and have the geometric wings, and robotic joints, it might not have been what you had in your head, but I think it's a really good "thesis statement", or maybe "outline" of the neat concepts you where playing with, and I think it demonstrates strong creative sensibilities.
Sorry if that is too much from a rando on the internet, but I just wanted you to give yourself some more credit on a tough piece.
Thank you for making this.

ReakuTheCrate responds:

It really is more so that the sketch itself is actually flawed technically, as in underneath it all, there are inset problems with the structure that if I were to line this one, every single error would come out, the idea itself is what I've been seeing and wanted to make, the outcome not exactly what I was hoping, but a combination of a lack of energy and trying to keep myself working lead to this, much of what's seen in the piece itself is themes I've already used before and worked with previously, I just knew I couldn't go any farther with it given how it was starting to look. Over all, the image serves it's purpose as is as a proof of concept and something to work off later, largely the philosophy here is that not every image is finished the same way, some remain sketches because that's the best they can ever be, others can be lined as that's the best they'll look, while some take on completely different forms outside of what I could classify as my normal.

Very neat!
I like the Liquid/foggy nature of her design, it gives a sense of intangible, but present, like that moment a wave crashes on the shore before being dragged back to sea.
Also the background works really well as a setting that tells a story about her world, and features her ability to float/fly quite neatly.
Thank you for making this.

DuttonsaysHi responds:

Thank you man that's such a nice description! You're right, her form is very fluid and weightless (she's a ghost after all) The realm she's in is a sort of fantasy after life where there is no sense of up or down so there castle's coming up from below and out of the skies

very literal "martial prowess."
Really like the way you played with a sense of air flow, and how you used a contrasting pallet of peach and white to frame her green and black.
I think there is merit in the simple back ground, and the discarded cape, but the simple background is a lot more clean in presentation.
If this was an animated scene I would say she would approach a rival caped in a distant framing shot, exchange some words in either a static shot or cuts back and forth depending on how much they talk over each other or not, and then start a sweeping shot from the feet where mid way she discards the cloak (picture 2) which falls to the ground and the camera hold on (picture 1) of the desolate martian background and the sun hanging in the sky.
heh, sorry got a little excited there.
In any case, thank you for making this.

kmau responds:

Thank you so much!
I agree that both backgrounds have their appeal, but the simple one is less messy.
The animated scene you have in your head sounds good, although she'd probably sink into the sand in the middle of it for comedic effect, due to her standing on her prosthesis!

ooooh, I like the layers.
You have really been pushing your pallets in some really interesting directions lately, I love what they do to your composition.
The magazine/poster motif are also quite fun.
Thank you for making this!

RokerRabbit40 responds:

❤️ I'm really glad that you liked it. I really appreciate your reviews on my art. 🥰

Grandma standing on a high platform:
"Getting in the cyber wolf, little red."
That said, the red hair and the wry smile give her more of an Asuka Langley look than anything.
I like the mix tech design of the wolf, seemingly tucked between cyberpunk and steampunk/trains bits, and I appreciate the layered armor plates as a desing choice, very cool.
Little Red's outfit has a really nice contrast of the hot red and cool blues, and as previously mentioned, the wry smile is a nice tone setter for her personality.
Thank you for making this.

sushiisiu responds:

thank you for your comment! i appreciate the detailed analysis over the design and im glad you like it!

VexJ-9
Nice work on making the design sharper, and I like what you did with the two pallets, one pumping up yellow, and the other pouring in the green.
Thank you for making this.

ZeroSSOX responds:

Im glad you like this! It's my favorite out of the set! the Vexus palette was first but I decided I kinda want it to have a more "Jenny" kind of fashion and showed off more skin like her original self

In the end I liked both enough!
