Anthro-Angler Eh?
Quite interesting, how out of sync this reads.
being an deep sea species, the light source coming from bellow is quite mysterious, but, of course the point of view observer and "Soapy" (I presume that's her name) could actually be diving down, so that feet would be facing the surface, ie light source.
The downward motion would also cause the clothes to position similar to normal gravity, as the fabric is caught by the drag.
.....Ah! sorry.
It's a very cool Character, and I see you have other related pieces, including some skull girl stuff, that I will be sure to check out.
Huh, makes me wonder about a Merfolk fighting game, the low-G/floaty nature of it would be quite interesting.
In any case,
Thank you for making this.

OneGrumpyLumpy responds:

Glad you like it! If it helps to alleviate confusion she doesn't live in the ocean, she lives in the sewer.
Also that fighting game idea could be interesting..

"The anime was inside of you all this time."
This is pretty silly, in a very fun way.
I actually think Undyne with a katana guard eye patch would make alot of in universe sense, especially after she starts dating Alphys.
Like I could see in my mind a scenario where Alphys and Undyne are watching and old samurai flick, and Alphys comments how cool a character with such an eye patch is.
Undyne would take note, and spend a hug amount of time trying to find one in the garbage, and eventaully brute force it, or ask Papyrus for help, and that would be it's own whole ordeal.
Anyways, fun stuff, and nice work.
Thank you for making this.

Yukimura4 responds:

I can totally picture Undyne wearing a cosplay of Date Masamune (Who was basically *THE* one-eye samurai in Japan). Undyne would probably become a fangirl of samurai/japanese culture, until she finds out about sushi Xd

Happy to know you liked the comic, thank you very much for the kind words <3

I get some solid Umezu vibes from this.
I really like the fraught intensity coming from the pitch darkness outside the car, the scattered intensity of the eyes.
Your pen work caught both of those quite nicely.
The hands are oddly nerve raking in their stiff, fraught, detail, with the rest of the figure laid so flat.
In the colored version I find the dip in color on the figure's torso, but it's an interesting detail.
Thank you for making this.

Linttop responds:

Thank you I’m glad you like it!

Feisty!
I really enjoy your use of light and shadows in this.
The soft and blurry edges of how the light falls, in combination with the lily pads, gives an odd Monet vibe.
As for Lizzie her self, the face is playfully aggressive, and you borrowed all the right notes on green Hair from Jennifer Walters, with some nice ascents of lighter green on the tips. Th tail seems a little disproportionate, kinda like an African Fat-Tailed Gecko's, but it's possible since she is actively bearing teeth it is some kind of "puff-up" to assert dominance.
If the tail could puff up, it might also help with buoyancy, which could be relevant with the swamp setting.
The Mangrove like trees in the background are a nice touch as well, in part because they compliment the curves of Lizzie's tail.
Way to make that money flexing what you got, friend!
Thank you for making this.

DaRR1o responds:

Wow, what a comment. Thanks you...I had no idea what a Fat-Tailed Gecko was until now

It's a nice Swoop!
It's kinda stuck, design wise between "The Jetson's" curves, and "My Life as a Teenage Robot's" dense outlines, with a nod to the color scheme of "Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?" that really comes together nicely.
It's very warmly, and enjoyably composed.
I do hate to nit pick this last part, but the "Star Dancer" because of stylization of the "D" winds looking like a lower case "B" (b) where a lower case "D" (d) would of course be actually pointing left.
To be fair it could be a style choice, like the "R" in "Toys R' Us", but I felt the need to be direct in my feed back.
Final note, I like the fact the helmet mirrors the design of the bike in some ways, but perhaps having the face shield design match the head light a little more would really coordinate it.
Thank you for making this.

funktoonmix responds:

thanks for the feedback!

O that is so cool.
I am surprised you don't have a hot-plate-like-object on the bottom of the cauldron, it would be an excellent chance to show of your trademark flames.
I really like the the blue and white stripes, as it's a solid call back to uniform heraldry, and the spiked notch on the ladle is choice.
I suppose if he wrangled in competitive cooking he would be near the top of the ladle boards.
Thank you for making this.

jouste responds:

thanks! and yeah I did miss the chance to heat up that cauldron with one of my flames! I think I wanted it to be a more "cartoon smell" type of shape in this one.

Dang!
It's certainly a very bold framing of an individual, standing as such on that rampart.
I feel the use of contrasting detail, focused foreground & less distinct distant detail, gives a great sense of scale, while also not overly taxing your efforts as an artist.
It's certainly a clever choice, in a smartly composed piece.
Honestly I also adore you shadow work, especially the way it's cast on the banner, which it's self is detailed in it's thread and pattern.
This actually reminds me of the style and detail of the Vampire faction from the "Magic the Gathering" set "Ixalan."
Thank you for making this.

Eurns responds:

Thank you for your kind words! Although you’ll have to thank me mullins for the composition ;)

This tragically adorable.
I really like the way managed to stick with three color tones in this piece.
Black and white are a stiff contrast, but you added amazing accents with the flare of red here and there.
Also the liquid work in the tears and drool is visually viscous in a masterfully unsettling way.
I am honestly a little back and forth on the "really sad" mood bubble, but I actually think it compliments rather than overrides the tone.
On a personal note, I feel like Doopliss would hang out with Mimikyu in their spare time.
Thank you for making this.

VonKreepula responds:

He's sad cos' Paper Mario is dead!

I really love the energy you captured here.
It's very intentionally nonsense, and I really enjoy that.
The robe/dress is also just excellent it's folds and creases, and gives a great sense of motion, or at lest potential energy in the still image.
The sun rays are a great balancing and focus tool as well.
Thank you for making this.

Roksim responds:

Aw thanks!! %'3

Hell yah!
Honestly this kinda reminds me of the Robot Master Level Select screens from mega man.
Keep on doing what you do, because your monstrosities certainly make my day brighter.
Thank you for making this.

jouste responds:

hey great! appreciate it! thanks for the high score.
