I like this alot.
It's like Spyro's older brother rand off and and joined one of the weirder Sonic games from the dream cast era.
He looks like he would be part of Vector's crew (I had to google vector's name, but I still feel right in the refrence)
He also kinda looks like a crash bandicoot character version of "Grimace" from the McDonalds Canon.
The yellow purple balance is so xtreme, and the random spikes and hip guards are crazy.
The chest plate is something I feel like I have seen on lizard scaling, it's so odd.
He a cool guy, that is aggressively over designed, and I love it.
Thank you for making this.

PS (Googled it to do "due dilgence", as I had been reacting as if this was an OC, and said aloud "aw shit" it's a pokemon" but decided to leave my mad ramblings of affection in place, and it's amazing)

A very tense self portrait.
You have a lot of eyes on you as an artist, and I just want to say I think your killing it.
This color, the balance of the image, and the the focus on center of mass being the cross are all quite apt.
Take a breath, and then keep moving.
You got this.
Thank you for making this.

So, there was an article on NPR, and it might have only ever played once, but it was most likely on "This American Life" if feel like narrator was fairly frequent contributor to NPR, and she went into a very interesting story about her time as a goth.
She mused about the hierarchy of gothdom, and that you where only meant to wear black, with a touch of white, but if you had enough esteem, you have pink within your outfit.
She stressed the privileged and dangers of wearing pink because you adherence to nihilism had to be almost absolute to get away with ironically wearing pink.
Wearing it intentionally, to be happy, was off mode.
So i had a slight chuckle when I saw this.

The character certainly has elemets of punk studs, gothic choker and makeup, emo/scene hair and earnings, and then a hipster tattoo.
The odd nods to the more iconography style is super cool, and I almost missed the face that from breast down she is a skeleton.
The magic of of her smoke, and the encircling of dark flame, along with a trophy of something long dead, caught in what looks to be captured space, it's all so resonate for that familiar and fun creeping sensation of October.
It's very interesting, but the most intriguing aspect for me, is her expression.
It's not come hither, nor doubt, it's more "patient and in control evaluation."
Overall, she seems like the avatar of the god of death in a dark cyber punk future, and that's my jam.
Thank you for making this.

Oh my, you don't know how touched we are now. We are really happy to see that one of our drawings made someone really feel it! Your comment was simply amazing, thanks for posting this, we are really happy to read something like this right now it.

Ashe is definitely a very confident character, and you conveyed that that very effectively.
It feels kinda flirty, in a aphasic way, but that works with with her persona.
You very effectively played with shadows and gave her figure a lot of depth.
I think as a single piece this basically perfect for what you where trying to achieve.
Maybe having Ashe and her mechanical footman do that back to back heavy metal pose.
He is so large he would be a great frame for her more slender figure.

I like her alot.
From the scar on the cheek to the fact the sword is most like a relic as it matches nothing else about her gear, along with that tension in her eyes, really beautifully conveys this character in a single glance.
It's slightly awkward way to hold a sword that is anything but ornamental, as the heft should be quite burdensome, but given the grip is for put one hand, she must be quite strong and well trained.
Thank you for sharing.

I believe she is a character in Dark Stakers, based on the Chinese Servant Zombie.
I forget their name in Mandarin, but it's always interesting seeing Japanese artists tackle art from around the world, especially during their isolationist period, and looking at the textbooks they would make based on the Dutch writing that would come in. They called it "Dutch Studies."
Anyways, you seem to have had fun rendering the outfit and arms.
She almost looks too alert and focused for a zombie, but I know in the game and in folklore her type are perfectly preserved.
I guess the only thing that has me curious is the cut of her tunic, seems to show tan line, and I was wondering if they where in fact tanned or simply in shadow.
Oh one last note though, her stance is very stiff, which ironically makes sense, and not being able to read her next motion is actually a good thing in martial arts, but may be and action shot would be more visually dynamic, but the pose is still very good.
Thanks for making this.

Boiger!
But yeah this in an interesting homage, almost to the 1950 Cheesecake style of advertising.
She's definitely cute 1990's early aughts "punk/goth in a kids cartoon" kinda style.
Thanks for making this.

I wish I knew more the story behind this, but I get the feeling that the skull is the elder adn the slasher is the boy.
I made me immediately think of "Mystery Men" and the Legacy Hero "The Bowler" who was the daughter of a superhero who would fight crime with bowling balls, and when he was killed for it, she put his skull in a bowling ball.
That movie is pretty memetastic, especially since the official music video for "All Star" by Smashmouth is a tie in to that movie.
Anyways, I get the sense that older figure was maybe a scientist from the gray heir, and perhaps had an experiment that rendered him into this weird form with his kid?
Like a much grimmer Danny Pantom.
In any case I love the otherworldly flow of the mist, and the sense of dark reflection in the foreground.
Thank you for making this, and for sharing the characters.

Oooh, long commentary! Love it!

You are right in one thing at least! But guess what. You can actually read about the story behind it! The person I made the Secret Santa for revealed it all in a series of comic that were part of a tournament in entervoid. It's super compelling

Link' https://entervoid.com/index.php?action=archive;chara=2620 The Invitational Tournament 2019 comics covers it!

It's interesting you orginal rendition was definetly more disney princess/harely quinn, and your update is more unique in the sense she looks physically capable of a good fight in terms of density, but I not 100% sure her legs physically make sense in that pose with there new size.
Overall I think both sketches look great, and encourage you to think about how weight effects posture and poise.
In the 2016 it seems like she is siting on a wall and has the left leg tucked on the wall and her right leg is dangling, where in this the 2019 he left foot is kicking her right buttox.
Physically possible, especially if floating, but not comfortable way to pose unless their weight is on their left side, as if their where lying down, but the swords look uncomfortable to lie on.
I hope this feedback is helpful, and not stressful, as you do quite well.
Thank you for making this.

This reminds me of some of the wild and fun animation in the game "CRAWL" which I was huge fan of when the artist first spoiled it.
I think that this such a fun way of showing video game cooking, and it's just got a pleasant motion to it.
I am almost trying to imagine a good zelda style cooking song you could play on the ocarina as a food timer.
I really think this have to have fun beat, maybe Crypt of the Necrodancer kind-a beat to cook well kinda mini game.
Thank you for making this.
