huh; Interesting!
I know you are somewhat dissatisfies with the flat colors, but the paint by numbers like side effect with your very crisp lines, for me leads to an interesting stained glass effect.
Basically the fact that each piece is contained within it own similarly colored outlines, and brighter color pallet gives it that "light shining through" look.
I suppose, if it was set as stained glass, it would be to the patron saint of head pats?
It would be interesting to use light angle trick with the rising and setting sun to have a false animation of the tail over a day? (but that would be alot of math.)
In any case I think this works more that your initial assessment, you impressed me with how strong you carried a brown based color pallet, and I like it quite a bit.
Thank you for making this.
